WDF Awarded Three Contracts Valued at $104 Million

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Tutor Perini Corporation (NYSE: TPC), a leading civil and building construction company, today announced that its specialty contracting subsidiary, WDF Inc. (WDF), has recently been awarded two contracts for work at the City University of New York (CUNY) collectively valued at approximately $89 million, and one contract with the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) valued at $15 million. The value of these contracts will be included as part of the Company’s reported first quarter 2017 backlog.
Renovation of the Field Building at Baruch College Phase 1A / Contract Value: $68,107,000
LiRo Program and Construction Management, PE P.C., acting as the construction manager for CUNY, awarded WDF a $68-million contract for the renovation of the Field Building at Baruch College, located in Manhattan, New York. The work to be completed includes the partial renovation of the cellar, first floor lobby and elevators; mechanical, electrical and plumbing upgrades; and the construction of a new one-story addition at the Field Building. The work will take place within the fully occupied and functional Baruch College campus. Construction is due to commence immediately and substantial completion is expected in January 2020.
CUNY Data Center Projects / Contract Value: $21,290,000
Epic Management, Inc. (Epic), acting as the construction manager for CUNY, awarded WDF a $21-million contract for the renovation and new construction of two existing data centers and related work for the migration of IT equipment located at two CUNY-based buildings in Manhattan, New York. Work is to be completed in two phases and will include temporary phasing work and steel; heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems; plumbing work; emergency generator work; hoisting and rigging; and computer room flooring, partitions, electrical modifications, information technology and communications wiring. Construction is expected to begin immediately, with substantial completion in January 2018.
New York City DEP Plumbing Job Order Contract – 16-NP / Contract Value: $15,000,000
The New York City Department of Environmental Protection awarded WDF a $15-million contract for the Plumbing Job Order Contract North Region. The project entails working on plumbing systems at various North Region DEP facilities, which include the Bowery Bay Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP), the Tallman Island WPCP, the Wards Island WPCP, the Hunts Point WPCP and various pumping stations facilities.
