Located in the heart of Manhattan’s Clinton neighborhood, the school offers academic, career, and technical courses to local students. WDF’s GC division led the renovation and refurbishment of the school to help provide a better functioning education environment geared to students developing careers in the hospitality industry. The rehabilitation of the building includes the revamping of four boilers, the addition of two chillers, a cooling tower, 27 added HVAC units, fume hoods and ceilings in six kitchens. There were various additional items of work performed such as hot water heaters, updated ceilings throughout the building, renovation of the steam system, updated grease traps and fan controls in the kitchens, and extensive parging, fire stopping, and shaft work.
